One in eight couples experience difficulty conceiving, so if that’s you, you’re certainly not alone. Infertility issues can be due to the eggs, or the sperm, or an abnormality in the fallopian tubes, for example, and there are treatments for almost every situation.
Fertility treatment
Infertility is when you haven’t conceived after at least a year of trying to have a baby, but you don’t have to wait that long before we can help. We offer all aspects of fertility care from investigation and uncovering of the underlying problem, to a range of treatments including ovulation induction, surgery and IVF. We work world leaders in IVF technology, Genea IVF, to give you the very best chance of success.

Medication
Hormone medication can stimulate ovulation, and medicines can also be used to treat endometriosis or fibroids, if that’s an underlying issue.

Surgery
Can be used to treat blocked or damaged fallopian tubes, and also endometriosis and fibroids. Laser treatment is also a possibility in some cases.

Intrauterine insemination
Where sperm is placed directly in the uterus, also known as artificial insemination.

IVF | In vitro fertilisation
Eggs and sperm are collected, fertilisation happens in a lab and the resulting embryo is placed in the woman’s uterus.

Sperm retrieval
Removing sperm to use in assisted reproductive treatments, including timed artificial insemination
